The Physics of Football is a book aimed to provide the football fan, player, or coach with a better understanding of the way physics applies to the game of football. After reading this book the reader should have a better understanding of how various laws of physics make up and affect the game of football.
For the sports handicapper The Physics of Football provides value is in the chapters that cover how weather affects the game of football. The book covers how aspects such as wind, temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure affect the football.
The Physics of Football is a well written book, and it does a good job of providing the reader with an understanding of the physics of football. At the end of the day, however, there is only so much worth this book provides to the sports handicapper. As such, the rating I have given this book reflects its value to the handicapper, not the value of the book overall.
I give this book a two out of five on the Benjamin scale.
